I bought a dvd in a new serie called "the work of director" ; this serie has for now 3 dvd's about michel gondry, spike jonez and chris cunningham. Actually, all 3 of them created the label. Ok then I bought Gondry's dvd, since I liked most of his works, for instance on chemical bros, bjork or white stripes videos.

This is simply the best dvd I have seen in ages.

25 musical videos, a dozen short fictions, and a huge documentary about Gondry himself, pretty much explaining most of his creative processes and where his ideas come from. It is also very valuable to hear him talk in english. I have never heard any heavier french accent in my whole life I think. But well, still, the guy is a genius, and it shows a LOT. All of you know at least one or two of his works, like the Schmirnoff or the Polaroid or the Levi's commercials, or most probably even with any of Bjork's video. His most stunning works, I think, are Kylie Minogue's "come into my world" video, chem bros "let forever be", and most french people know IAM's video "le mia" or daft punk's "around the world". I strongly recommend this dvd to anyone interested in fx and/or poetry, and who likes creators.
