I note the date one of my grandfathers passed away as well. Wasn't that long ago (7 1/2 years), but it still brings on some reflective moments...

my house is completely sound proof, and i live in a city, so i usualy just sleep, even in a thunderstorm...

but when i was young, i lived in the open field, and always heared the sounds of nature, i kinda mis that...
