When you say 'Rug pulled out from under' I assume that this bad event began your whole 'disconnection' from your emotional self.

If so, take it as a hint and as encouragement. Whatever happened was too much and you are being given the chance to bypass the 'Dark Tea Time of the Soul' and go straight into reviewing things without repurcussion.

Sorry you didn't get to go to APC. If it makes you feel any better, the tour dates came out maybe 2 weeks before the first show, so lots of people didn't know. I didn't even know til I saw an ad in the Phoenix and then it was too late to get tickets from Ticketmaster-off to eBay I went. I must say though, I do not feel my money was wasted. The show on Sunday was amazing and I loved the new songs they played. There are live mp3s floating about if you'd like to hear some new stuff. Also- Maynard has been calling this tour a "soundcheck" or a "warmup", and said on Sunday that they'll be touring again right after Thirteenth Step is released next month. I assume it'll be a bigger tour (that is, bigger venues) so maybe we'll both get to see APC for a humane price

Sorry to hear things aren't going too well, but... as trite as it sounds some text said "This, too, shall pass." Perseverance is a virtue. In time, if you're a feeling person, you'll begin to remember what emotions are and what a grand variety there is. I've found that as hard as it can be for me to deal with the hard times in life, they do make the good ones much sweeter. Unless I'm feeling down and then it just makes them bitter-sweet.
