Ouch. Sucks that you're both being evicted, I hope you're able to find a solution. And it also sucks having to sell CDs I remember the times when I sold off about half of my collection leaving me with ninety or so, and I still havn't regained all of the ones I miss, but this last spring I was able to get the ones that mattered the most as well as a whole lot of of awsome new ones. Out of about twenty-five or thirty new discs there were only two I sort of wonder whether I should have bought.
Learning to tend bar is awesome, it's a skill which combined with a good reference or two will get you work just about anywhere in the world. Sometimes I really wish I was in the front house instead of cooking, although with cooking I've reached the level where I can probably get a job most anyplace just as I would if I were tending bar.
The Devil's Playground is a documentary of a period in Amish life called rumspringa. Basically when Amish kids turn sixteen, all thier resctrictions are removed and they can do anything they like at all. The parties these kids throw are astounding. It was a great film that I caused me to revise my thinking about the Amish quite a bit. It's definately something I'd recommend seeing.
As for exciting summer stuff, it all begins to happen this weekend, so we'll see.
thanks for the advice. i don't know what I'll do. we'll see...it's...more complicated than that and I have to balance my needs with hers. i don't want to be too self-centred. there are reasons I'm sure.
2 years ago I left my flat without paying the landlord some months' rent. I saved 1300 (almost $2000) and had a very nice holiday in Italy. Don't worry, the landlord's still a rich bastard !

PS: don't worry, when shit happens it's raining hard but tends to go away after a while. Try to keep inner peace
I sent the tape, and threw in a CD Swap CD. I'll be on vacation over the next week, not around computers, but just write with any umm reactions and I'll see em later.
I'm going with a friend to Duck NC, the beach, but I hope it's not so much exciting as a chance to relax.
Yup, life is looking alright, right now. I can't wait to live in a new an exciting neighborhood. This'll be the busiest, most 'urban' area I've yet had the chance to experience through immersion. I'm hoping to meet some new people, find some great places to eat and to drink, and just generally be more removed from work. I've been living right next door to work for almost two years now, and like my aunt said yesterday; living close to work is like never leaving it. Good luck, I hope the mom-moving is going well, and you're able to find a place and regain your pawned possessions.
