So, launch of a new venue in Glasgow last night. Well, and old place who have never really done very well redecorated and had a launch party to show off the fact that they now have a stage and put bands on. Fun? Maybe. It was a press launch, so by definition it was full of journalistic wankers and hangers-on. I believe the technical term is liggers.

Bands? Aye. The Hedrons were good, if underage. Their singer was only half as good as she thought she was, but that was made up for by the bass playing and guitar playing girlies being twice as good as they should have been. The drummer was hawt, also. Popup have a great name and another amazingly hawt drummer but unfortunately no tunes worth remembering. Its bands like them who give indie-rawk a bad name. Theres something about a girl who straddles her bass drum as though it were a cello, mind you. Especially when shes wearing a cocktail dress.

Beer? Erm, yes. There was rather a lot. Now I have to go to work and drive. Oh dear. Yknow that feeling of a hangover looming in the middle distance? I reckon that Ill make it to eleven oclock before the pain hits. If Im lucky.
