My gifts are in crazybob's Journal, plus I got a DVD player and a couple books: Garcia Marquez autobio and Michael Moore's book. While often sharing views with Moore, I have to say his writing is just too... vitriolic in an unimpressive way. I mean, as bitchy as Chris Hitchens can be in some essays and live debates, Moore is even ruder most of the time in Dude, Where's My Country?. I just think there's a balanced, professional, intelligent way to critique George Bush Jr. Running around calling him "chickenshit" is not balanced, professional, or intelligent. edit ps - and btw, I'm not a total hypocrite for wanting to hear the new Quasi song where they cuss out Georgy Jr, because... well, in a rock record, you can swear about politics, it's just that in a book you should.... I dunno, I think you oughta use more thoughtful language. Maybe Moore should join a rock band.... I know he likes Grand Funk Railroad, maybe he could join them... did you know that GFR has a pro-gun-ownership song? Yep, "Don't Let 'Em Take Your Gun."
