Our Monkey Boy started school this past week!!!! He has been adjusting well we think?

I just wanted to say how awsome the area of Long Beach we live in! We can walk from our apartment 1 block is Audie's school, across the street is the cafe for some coffeee, then I walk to work , then later on in the day we walk over to monkey boys awsome after school program, I never have to drive!!!!!! Not only that but the ocean is at the end of the street , so is the park, and the recreation center has all sorts of classes, one being ceramics, which I can't wait to get back into again!!!!!! I love it here!!!!!! Not only that but the best thing is I live with the two loves of my life!!!!! I can not ask for anything better then this:}
My whole view of LA is diffrent, I grew up in Orange County, right next to it, and I always thought LA was huge and intimidating, but its not its awsome:}

To add on to this great city, a huge population of where we are is gay! We live right behind the Gay and Lesbian center, so walking down the street holding my girlfriends hand is normal...... The sweet thing is I get stopped on my walks everyday by alll sorts of people that I see at my store or that I pass by everyday, its like a cute small gay community here. Even the pets around town come up and greet me:}

Also , last night I went with my Ms. D to my second Soka Gakkai International (SGI ) meeting to get a better understanding of what Buddhism is all about. My personal ideas for balance in my life , seems to be exactly what this type of Buddhism is about. One of the members was surprised about how my intial needs to learn about SGI were? Which were how I can chant for others and their well being. He was surprised because he said usually people join so they can chant for themselves and their lives first , and later they learn how they can also feel good about chanting for others. He said that my attitude was Bodhisattvas like. Apparently I'am on the right track to being a great Buddhist:} I can't wait to see what our lil Monkeys ideas are like about SGI. There are some kids events that he can attend too:}

I'am thankful every day for what I have , and being able to see the future in a much brighter light:}
