ah fuck it.
i am in france. i am getting fatter, i am QUITTING SMOKING?! but i am, yes. it has been 9 fucking days. motherfucking hard days, i'll tell you what.
i have some stories.
1. quitting smoking = drinking more, eating more. there is no question about that as far as i am concerned. i have been inhaling (i exaggerate not) alcohol of all kinds (mostly red wine or cider, however) as well as motherfucking nuts. i love nuts. i could (were i fable-tellingly inclined) recount many an occasion (recent, sadly) of moments of weakness, moments of overindulgence.
2. i am getting fat. this is depressing. and self-sufficient.
3. french men are fucking crazy. sorry if you are french. but you are crazy. get a grip, for fuck sakes. no one is in love with you. yet.
4. arcachon, or bassin thereof, is beautiful. yes, i do have photos. no, they are not ready for uploading.
5. being in love and being far away from said love is difficult and testy. i do not like it.
6. i am a needy bastard. i am a drunkard. i am no longer a smoker.
obviously still a nerd.
did i tell you? i was nearly robbed on saturday night. some skin-head-y loser attempted to grab my bag while i was riding my bike the opposite way. he did not let go, but neither did i. i just kept saying really camp things like, 'mais excusez moi, monsieur, s'est mon sac la!' what the fuck? i can't even insult in french!
eventually the fucker relented. and then i started talking excitedly to tim, who was sort of ahead of me. and when buddy thief heard my english speaker box, he yelled, 'fuck you! fuck you'. to which i replied without hesitation, 'fuck you, motherfucker!'
ah such a winner, i am.

and waking up half naked, tongue ring not in mouth, wondering how you managed to make it home? not a comforting thought.
oh yeah. last two pics are taken just before going to a 'rock show' with alicia. i looked fucking better than the band. who was called 'hot flowers'. haha. they were horrible. bordeaux sucks for rock. forget indie. the main band was ocnil from lille. they looked all right (i had them pegged from the get-go) but sounded rather mediocre. they will not make it.
sad, no?

Yup, still stickin' it out in Londontown. Has any of the madness spread to Bordeaux? I think the media's playing it up too (heh, your poor mom), but stay safe, eh?
