Well ain't that some shit?

I met one of the designers for the Eberron campaign setting in a restaurant in St. John called, unsurprisingly, the John Street Cafe. He heard my gaming buddies and me discussing one of our campaigns, and wandered over to share a bit of the geekiness.

I must confess, after reading the crappola that was the Quintessential Fighter and some of the Slayers Guide to [whatever] books, I pretty much gave up on Mongoose Publishing.

But I liked your book. The 3.0 monk kinda blew chunks, and the 3.5 monk, while better, still needed a lot of improvement.

The weapons and the feat section were the ones I liked best. Choose the Poison (or whatever the feat was that allowed you to substitute a Will save for a Fort save for Stunning Fist) was a good idea. Some of the feats seemed a little too steep, prereq-wise, but I found myself enjoying the material. It seemed like they copped your idea for feat paths in Unearthed Arcana. Or maybe that's just my spotty memory.

Written any other d20 stuff? Or any other gaming stuff, period, for other systems?
molonel:
Huh. Didn't know that.

I found these:

The Quintessential Ranger II: Advanced Tactics (The Quintessential Ranger), The Quintessential Barbarian II: Advanced Tactics, Encyclopaedia Arcane - Drow Magic (Encyclopaedia Arcane), Cities Of Fantasy: Stormhaven - City On A Thousand Seas (Cities of Fantasy), Masters of the Sea the Orks (Sovereign Stone), Athenaeum Arcane: A Score of Malevolent Special Abilities, Fantasy Player's Companion: Summoner Options, Forgotten Archetypes: Gunslinger, Prestige Class Optimizer: Way of the Arcane Archer, Visions 1: The Pumpkin Patch, Visions 2: Phantasmal Memories, Visions 3: Stitches, Visions 4: Ancient Engines, Stonebridge - City of Illusion, The Quintessential Sorcerer , The Quintessential Chaos Mage, The Quintessential Cleric II.

Any other titles I might recognize? Or do you have an online vitae or website?

It's a good album. Especially The song The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades is out to get us. That and the Decemberists all that has been on my ipod playlist lately.
boxofficepoison:
I get it from Limewire, less ethical, but all downloads are free.
