I hope it is clear what I intended to do with my profile picture. SG Crew, if you can do that for me, I would offer my everlasting grattitude.
So, you want to know what it is like to be a Nottingham Forest fan? Repeat after me. "Are we going down again?" No, not this year, my beloved Reds are mired in the middle of D1.
So, you want to know what it is like to be Celtic fan? Repeat after me. "Another year, another cup." The Bhoys win two or three each year, with monotonous regularity that never gets old. Of course, in 1967, Celtic won four. Beat that, Chelsea! Hah! Stupid Russians.
So, you want to know what it is like to be an FC Dallas fan? Repeat after me. "Scipio, you are a dipstick who cannot form your own opinions. I am not going to apologize. It's true." Well, fuck you, too. You brought me in, it is appropriate that you are the one to kick me out, El Jefe. Fine. I'm out, after ten years.
An interesting idea put forth by MLS comissioner Don Garber. Certain MLS teams, the one with small stadiums, such as Columbus, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and Denver, should field a women's team. I think this would be great, Essentailly, it is great way to market MLS to an audience that has yet to be tapped, girls. A lot of them play soccer, and the youth teams may sned palyers to the pro teams. Add a few double headers, and both the women's league fans and the regular MLS fans could see, and hoefully enjoy, both products. Add in a few A League teams, and Carolina, which did a great job and built thier own stadium for the WUSA, and you've got a good league. And maybe I could meet someone. I mena a sinlge mother, not a 15 year old player. Really. I do.
Now, I am going to write about politics and smoke a cigar, and you cannot stop me.
First, let us welcome back Dahlia Lithwick in the way she is used to. Seig Heil! Seig Heil! It's nothing personal, Dahlia. I just think you have repulsive totalitarian tendencies. Which do not really appear in this article. She just writes about how gay parents might be good parents. Fine, that might be very well true.
This issue is rather personal for me. A good friend of my was working on this subject for a conservative think tank when she was outed. She immediatly left, over the objections of her boss, who wanted her to finish this paper. The outcome was we do not have enough data.
Dahlia does. I just have to wonder if this is to justify forcing the Catholic Church to facilitate adoption to gay parents. Hey, gay parents are good parents, therefore, ww will force you to do something that is against your beleifs. It alwasy comes down to foce with Dahlia.
There was a very intersting piece on marraige and wealth. Ben Stien says that if you want to be righ, get married and stay married. Kay Hymowitz notes some interesting statistics. The more educated women tend to stay married, and have children within wedlock. Less educated women tend to have children outside of wedlock. So better edcuated women, by Stein's law, are wealthier. Shouldn't education take care of this, anyway?
Frederica Mattherws-Green has a possible solution. Marry young. She did it, her children did it, so it must work. Of course, she and her husband both have advanced degrees, which, to thier credit, they worked hard for.
I am beginning to come to grips with the fact that I will never get married. On some level, this disappoints me. On the other hand, I can watch whatever movie I want.

strongbhoy:
Yeah, I'm going to see if I can do a stadium tour as well. The whole Celtic park thing will probably be one day.
