I am picking triathlons this morning. So far it looks like we will do the Albany Sprint Triathlon, in mid April. We were going to do one in Corvallis but they don't allow music. My friend feels like that will be too hard. She really depends on her tunes. We are actually getting underwater SwiMP3 players. I'm kindof excited about this. How weird that the sound travels through your skull and not your ears.
I'm getting to get the road bike fixed up in January as well. I don't want to do another event on the mountain bike. It was more work than I needed to do. I want to be in the middle of the pack, not the end this time.
I am a bit bummed though. I was so looking forward to going to Cali in May for swimming in the Ocean but I am too booked we have 12 mamas due that month. It would be irresponsible for us to be so far away for days and days. When we do more local events we usually only have to get back up here and there. We have a new CNM that will be able to cover for us, plus there are other local midwives available here and there. But they won't be available for us both to go on vacation for a week.
OH well, maybe next year. Maybe I should just keep training and make it a goal for my 40th year. Then me and my best friend of over 20 years can fly out from LA to Hawaii for our vacation that we have been planning on for many years. That sounds like a good goal. Plus years just go by so fast these days that that will be right around the corner.
I will however still be heading to Cali in June. To Shasta actually. One of my dearest friends will be getting married . She has asked me to be in her wedding. How exciting. I was thinking no one ever asked me to be in their wedding before. How stupid is that? I was the Matron of Honor in my best friend Julie's wedding 10 years ago. I was totally 37 weeks pregnant. How could I forget that? I will probably make that week more than just a trip to Shasta. Maybe I will hit the Redwoods too. I love California, my homestate. I love it and miss it.
Well I guess that's it for the day.

Things feel good here. Spending more time then usual with my kids due to their dad's issues. I am happy though. I love my kids and their pressence makes me feel so good and calm.

Edit... Here is the triathlon schedule for this year. Yay I got together with my friends to work it out. I can't even believe what I am becoming. A jock of sort again. Weird.

I am so goddamn alone...... Not good, not bad....... just getting used to it, I guess. I've got two dogs in the bed with me.... & a cat around here somewhere. They are good listeners... but their only reaction is to tilt their heads or move their ears back. No real dialogue, you know?
When I saw Albany on yr list..... I thought it was Albany, NY. There would be no reason to go to Albany.... except it's the closest airport to my house.

I really really REALLY don't know.
My neighbor is great...... & even quite cute. But he's my neighbor....... too close geographically, like fifty yards. I don't want to have to sell my house if the sex was bad!
