ok I could have SO written this post hahahah...

about your post yesterday, I was a little freaked out that you had that stance , I couldn't imagine why people wouldn;t want to hear the President speak about education ..seemed weird, but I see today you explained that you are surrounded by wingnuts hahahah

as ffor the parenting, my kids are not allowed video games and most movies and only 2 channels of tv..they are on a uber tight leash...I was a neglected kid that got in too much trouble too early and so I am the bad cop too. It blows, my hubby backs me though mostly so that is alright...so far

No offense taken, it's a free country. I wasn't sure how you felt about it honestly, I couldn't tell your opinion from your words ha ha

My dad who claims to be as liberal as his mother was really is a conservative. He watches Fox News all day & pops on the O'Rielly show whenever it's on. My sister lives in South Carolina & doesn't even say nice things about Obama when he comes up in conversation. What's my point, I don't know. The country is so torn between just the two parties it seems. No one wants to say a damn nice thing about the other. I'm glad I'm not affiliated ha ha

I hope your little one is a good teen, by good I mean good to you

I pissed my uncle off last week for flaming one of his Christian idiot friends on facebook. I've just lost all patience for the Christian right being so uninformed and spewing idiocy. Every day I hate this country more and more because of the stupidity that steers it.

I don't let GTA in my house because it sucks.

I forgot to add:
I dropped out of college three times. Hated it with a passion - mainly because I was dumping thousands of dollars on credits for classes that I "needed" (english, history, algebra) to take before taking classes related to the degree I wanted. I went to a tech school instead - career focused and hands on learning. I learned more in 8 months in relation to my chosen career then 5 semesters at a university. Now I make more than most of my friends.

It isn't even who he is or what he said, it is the sad fact that our craptastic two party system loves to spew crap about each other and it filters down to our kids. I still think is an idealist and an idiot leading a group of lemmings off of a cliff, but I don't think that the other side is giving a real alternative to things either. My issue with the school speach is the fact that we have equal time for responses and rebuttals, my son will hear contradictory statements about what was in the speech, and that will probably distract from the focal point in the first place.

I was worried that you were starting to drink the Kool-Aid;
"not sending the kids to school for the speech......subliminals".
My rant on not hearing the words.

As for college it is too overrated. All my Philosophy degree does
is let me live a thoughtful life. When I was at a State college I
knew that it was pointless since Harvard Grads were having
difficulty finding work. Trade School should be good for most,
but the Trades need to be decent Jobs.

A big part of Parenting is to be "the bad cop". We may feel awful
dishing out 'tough Love', but in later Life the kiddies may thank us.
I let my daughter watch a fair amount of TV, but we talk about what
was on and I try to have her answer her question before I answer.

I hated when my hubs was play GTE, that game bothers me so much. mad

When you hear: "I'm from the Gov & here to help".
Be afraid, be very afraid. tongue
I don't trust any of 'em as far as I can spit a very dead rat.
Food for thought. Why did Regan @ Rykiavik sign a treaty with the
Soviets stateing 'We'd be pals in the event of an E.T. threat.'????
I listen to 'em and Question everything.
Yes, and I'm still sending winning thoughts to you in the Race. biggrin
