bahaha funny, that was pretty much what i was picturing in my head but i didnt want to be like: "ohh you know if your family own Wales? did they murdered a lot of people?" haha
I wish I could say something nice about Air China but I just can't.
During especially violent turbulence (and several other occasions) they would only make announcements in Chinese, they'd give preferential treatment to the Asian passengers (they often just threw a random meal down on our trays whereas the Asian folks on board would get a choice of two options), they ignored my special meal request (not a huge deal, but in with the slew of other things...), the films were only in Chinese, and the seats were very uncomfortable; my butt fell asleep after five minutes.
And the topper for me: they were very rude to me when I politely asked for a pen for my customs form (and all of the Asian passengers around me had already finished and returned theirs). I had to ask three different attendants which I did over a period of two hours to not annoy any of them. When one finally gave me a pen it was quite close to landing time so I quickly jotted down what I needed to and passed the pen on to an old man. The flight attendant came back to my seat and asked where her pen was, so I told her I gave it to a gentleman in the middle cabin. She made me get up during the plane's descent and show her which passenger had it. I mean, really?
If you do travel with them I hope your experience will be better than mine... I was downright scared because of their treatment sometimes. I make a note of being nothing less than polite when traveling so it was all very shocking to me to be treated with such unnecessary hostility.
i dont want to hog the SOTD thread in PSW, so i just want to say that i totally agree with your latest post there. it's a really shitty and vicious circle that is happening, but hopefully we can start bringing about the change we want to see in a positive and supportive way.
Conchords = awesome
