Hi Onibubba. I wanted to let you know that I took Donut to get spayed yesterday - and although the odds were with us, a few hours after the surgery, she died. I wrote about it in my journal, but I wanted to tell you personally - since we have such a great mutual understanding of what our furry children mean to us. Thus, I feel horrible. Giv your kitty and extra tight hug today.
Have you seen this/heard this yet amigo? I too was a big fan of wolfgang press-and this was just brought to my attention:
Geniuser - Mud Black
Geniuser is a collaboration between Michael Allen, formerly of The Wolfgang Press, and Giuseppe De Bellis, a collaborator with The Orb.
In the summer of 1998 Giuseppe began to make music with Michael. The Orb had generously given Giuseppe and Michael the loan of their studio in Victoria, and they were holed up in the studio for some six months writing material, looking to fuse their very different influences into something fresh and worthwhile. The fruit of their labour is the album entitled 'Mud Black' under the project name Geniuser.
Here is another gem of a websight right up your alley-
UBU
UbuWeb is a completely independent resource dedicated to all strains of the avant-garde, ethnopoetics, and outsider arts.
They have so much good expensive rare and out of print stuff on here it makes my head spin....so if you are so inclined check them out-everything from early COIL to Samuel beckett films...really nice site to dig into to...
You are the first person I have ever seen, besides me, who knew wtf Elric of Melnibone was! I'm a huge Michael Moorcock geek, especially the Eternal Champion stuff. Have like 70+ of his books.
