Awesome. Dogs are my favorite creatures, usually over people, people who help dogs are the closest things to angels a mortal can get. Thank you for being one!
As long as that's a good thing, I'll take it. I know what you do doesn't usually get much recognition. People come in, meet the dog, get excited, adopt the dog and never give a thought to the fact that the people that work there not only make that possible for them, but they get attached to those dogs too. They are usually happier than the new family to see a dog get a home, when dogs sit there waiting, it breaks your hearts. Dogs are the only species that loves their families more than themselves, they would give their lives in a second for their people. So many people treat them terribly and knowing that there are people out there that try to make it up to them gives me faith in humanity. So in my book, you are every bit as beautiful a person on the inside as you are on the outside. Don't ever let that change!ย
@jimmy121978 yes! Dogs love their masters inconditionally. I'm happy when some one adopt one of my dogs I take care. Dogs are beautiful and pure creatures ( as all the animals ). I hope ย in the world will be respect and love for all, for the dogs and the others animals. Thank you, you made my day

Thank you for doing this. I am a fierce animal advocate. I work with the shelters in NYC pledging, sharing, transporting. Every night there is a kill list with 5 to 15 dogs on it. Its heartbreaking seeing which ones make it to a rescue and which ones don't. So many don't. So many are killed. A dog wasting away in a shelter is such a waste of fun, loving, loyal companion. My dogs are better than most people I encounter daily. We got our first rescue a few months ago after trying for years. It was the best decision I ever made. It's almost like he knows. And he is the best behaved dog ever. Shelters need all the help they can get and it is one of the best feelings knowing that you gave that animal some love and friendship they wouldn't have known! So thank you so much for writing this and doing what you do! It is appreciated by many! :)
@ondinae they have a kill list because the shelter is too full and so many strays come in daily, or people bring their dog there because they don't want it anymore, or they had a baby or moved to an apartment that doesn't allow that specific breed. If the dog contracts kennel cough it will be put down. The list is put up each night and it has all the dogs that they will start to kill at 3PM the next day. Usually we have less than 24 hours to find homes, rescues and fosters for 5 to 15 dogs. Its heartbreaking. This is why people need to adopt, not buy their dogs. People need to spay and neuter because there aren't enough homes for the dogs that are alive right now. Everyday almost 10,000 cats and dogs are euthanized in the US alone. It kills me to even think about it. Thats why what you're doing is so important.ย
@sadiemara It's an injustice! Every life matter. We have a lot of dogs too but it's illegal kill them. I can express my sadness reading it and I know that I can do anything because I live in the other side of the world. Poor angelsย
Its so awful. I always wish there was more that I could do. You're right, every life does matter. This country seems to take life for granted so often. This is one of those times. I am so happy to hear that your shelter is a no kill shelter. They all should be. It should be illegal everywhere.ย
That is so amazing @ondinae! It always tears my heart ๐ when I see innocent pets getting mistreated, mamed, tortured, abandoned or killed. My pets are my children and I will never think differently. My wife and I have always rescued when we are ready for a new family member in our lives. Thank you so very much for making time for all those amazing animals that all need and crave love.
