Up next! Assuming I enjoy it and finish it, this will officially be the 30th and final book in this year's 30-book challenge, which started on Goodreads but was transferred over to The StoryGraph. Now that's not to say that it will necessarily be the final book of 2024 for me; it'll just be the book that helps me reach my goal, and anything beyond that will be a bonus!
I haven't read anything by Erin E. Adams before, but the description had me intrigued. We love a good story about ominous stuff happening in the woods, don't we? That will probably always be a core source of fear in humans. And the blurb says three key sentences: "It's watching. It's taking. It's your turn."
Time to crank up the virtual fireplace and ignore the outside world for a bit.
