Going through a few books in the Recluce series, by Modesitt.  I always like them.
skisby:
I resorted to asking friends on FB to name their favorite author & started borrowing from the library (based on “ebooks” & “available now”). I’m now 1/2 way through a new (to me) author’s catalog! Christopher Moore, I just finished his retelling of King Lear, Fool, written from the fool’s perspective!
ojtheviking:
@wizard0 Not sure I'm familiar with that series. What kind of series is it?
ojtheviking:
@skisby That's a neat approach, checking out your friends' greatest hits! I think I've heard of Christopher Moore, but never read any of his stuff (yet?). Are you enjoying his books overall?
skisby:
@ojtheviking yes! Quirky but very much enjoyed Noir & LAMB: THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO BIFF, CHRIST'S CHILDHOOD PAL. Bloodsucking Fiends was entert as well.
wizard0:
It's fantasy.  L. E. Modesitt is the author.

I will look into this, I am looking for my next read
niffler:
So, I'm part of a book club. This month's book is 'The Wishing Game" by Meg Shaffer. I'm not super far along since I have a lot going on (apparently, all of us in the group are since we all agreed to extend the month). Last month was "Legends & Lattes" by Travis Baldree. I like that this group allows us to share our favorite stories.
ojtheviking:
@niffler That sounds so awesome! I'd really love to be part of a book club. And that does sound great that you all get to take turns, sort of. Makes it more balanced that way, instead of just a forced, uniform reading list. It sounds like your group are reading some wholesome, cozy books!
