Has anyone discovered the absolute heartbreaking beauty of William Basinski's music? He is a minimalist composer and has composed the most tragically simple pieces of music and played them in loops, but the original reel to reel tapes being so old they disintegrated in the process of transfer. One piece sounds like the slow and timely death of the most beautiful and peaceful dragon the world ever knew, when another sounds like the death of a fantastic mind through mental illness. It's wonderful especially when you (like me) have a crush on someone!
