I know I have ignored most of you for the past couple weeks. Allow me to explain why...I have 3 conferences this week. I also had 3 midterms on Thursday and Friday of last week. Oh, and Dustin moved out last weekend. So, everything has been really busy and my apartment is really messy and I feel a little nutty right now. I just want to get everything cleaned up and organized this week, and then I can start to feel "situated" again.

Then to top all of this off, apparently I have to carve the time out of my schedule to go get my passport applied for this week. I have never left the country except to go to Canada and the last time I was there, you didn't need your passport. I think The Mom has gone off the deep end. I get an e-mail today that basically says "We're going to England this fall! Get your passport applied for NOW!". Um. Ok? And why are we going to England, Mom? Oh, well, The Mom met an English man online. She wants to go meet him. She doesn't want to go alone. So now I am wondering what exactly I am going to do if they hit it off, she wants to spend private time with him, and I am in England on my own? Apparently he owns an art studio and is a fine art dealer and lives in Scarborough. *sigh* Should I explain to my Mom what internet dating REALLY means? That everyone lies and sends the best picture they have ever taken of themselves, even if it is 10 years old? But, um, I get to go to England...so...YAY! (Even though I am STILL sitting here wondering if my Mom has lost her mind and she told me about it 6 hours ago). I am ALL for her meeting someone...but isn't there a suitable man somewhere in Ohio?...or atleast the continental United States, maybe? Someone she doesn't have to pay for 2 really expensive plane tickets to go meet? If I am getting on a plane to go ALL the way across that giant ocean, I want to visit more than just England. I bet The Mom will give me money to "get lost" for a bit if they want private time. Eurail Global Pass anyone? Hmmmm... I could be in Paris in 2.5 hours! Teehee!

Anyway...I guess that is really my only big/strange news for the day. You can find me at home this week when I am not at work or in class. I will be the one scrubbing down my apartment and disinfecting all of the gross boy-germs.
