I think people spend way too much time analyzing religion. The whole basis of it is nothing more than a code of ethics, right and wrong. And you're right, as modernized as we're supposed to be, we still fall back in alot of aspects. For one, there's still racism here. How can this country ever get along with anyone else if they don't get along with each other?!!

The whole "solution" for the war was supposed to be finding Saddam Hussein. Well, he was found, put on trial, and murdered... Yet, there's still a war.

When I woke up this morning I started thinking about this... In some religions a person that commits suicide is looked at as being damned because you're choosing to end something you were given. (That would seem to be based on their personal opinion, since they don't approve of it it is wrong, just like everything else.) Then you have the exact opposite... Suicide Bombers. And who do they designate for the bombings? Civilians. These people have spent their lives being coerced into believing that doing this is something great and they will be rewarded for it in their afterlife... No wonder they don't have any problems with it.

People have an inept tendency to want/need things that make them superior to others. And they almost always use religion as an excuse or like I said about the "it's O.K. to do something cuz we're not perfect". Here's an example of something fairly recent. It's disturbing to know that is allowed in this country.

BTW... Your new pic is way hot!! wink kiss You look so happy. smile

you are right. and Palmer is the best dog ever. change is never really that easy, is it?

I suppose that was sarcasm but, I would actually love to go to Japan. That and India, Egypt, and Mexico. Not like I would remember Mexico... I still want to go though. biggrin From what I know of their (Japan's) culture and art I think it would be so awesome. (I guess I could say that about all of them.) Of course, I could be allured by their cleanliness as opposed to ours. confused It would be more reasons than that but, I felt the need to point that out.

Yes, that's the car I hope to buy!! It's not the original one I had planned. I tried to find one like mine and found out that it would cost only a few $1000 less than mine did new... And my car is almost 8 years old. Then I checked into buying last year's model... And well, with the rebates I'll get on a new one, it would be just as expensive. So I would be better off with buying new. I need something in my life and that would definitely make me happy. smile I have a few more bills left to pay off then I can get it!! (I think I'm adding this to my blog so I don't have to explain this to everyone personally. wink )

Interesting you would bring that up because I personally think that SUVs should be banned. In fact, I've been wondering for awhile why they haven't?? Hmmm... Maybe because of the war?!! whatever If we didn't use SUVs we would have a ton of fuel. I can understand if you lived in an area that required the use of one but, too many people own them. Or if you have alot of kids but, there are more efficient vehicles than those. It's common for people here to own more than one vehicle and there are alot of people that use public transportation.

Did you get to see your movie yet?

Japan seems cheaper than here. A reasonable house here sells for at least $125,000. That's changing because people that own farmland have been selling to have their property turned into 1/4 acre lots. Which then becomes an uber-expensive sub-division (community). I didn't look up the cost of their houses but, I checked into their apartments including the ones in Tokyo. Apartments here are upwards of $800 (the cheap ones) to well over $1000 a month and that's just here in Richmond. No utilities included. Places like New York would be way more. I'm only familiar with this area's prices though. And, we have been considered one of the least costly states in the country. But, converting Yen into USD, they are less expensive than we are.

A car is convenient for me during the winter... The reason I need to get a new one is because (like an idiot) I tried to help somebody out. Of course, I have only myself to blame cuz I did it so... I would love to live somewhere where I could walk to everything. Or better yet the exact opposite, the middle of nowhere, where I just drove once a week to the city for necessities. Other than that, if it's warm I'll walk whenever possible!!

kittyxxx:
yep i did get ur letter i just suck at sitting down and actually writing sometimes lol.
applejax:
Usually I get more sleep than that, but not the other night. Was terrible and slept in today too, but I guess sometimes you gotta do thatsmile

My cat is such a twitbag. I can no longer pee, have a shower, or have a bath with the door closed. Cause if he knows I'm in there, and he can't get in....oh goodness. Man he can ram his front arm/leg far under the bloody door!!! And when he does come in when I'm having a bath, he likes to try and walk around the tub edge, which is great till he gets to the side against the wall that only has an inch wide ledge or so! He's fallen in more than once, and claws and scratches the crap out of me when I try and help him out. Stupid cat mad
