Just gotta give you kudos for all the efforts you've made mentioning things SGLA'ers can get together for. I've been jammed lately. Hoping to take a stab at some West side things in the next couple weeks.
Killer Shrimp was one of the places I mentioned to try and do a get-together.
I think my biggest obstacle is that all the events up to now have been from Hollywood to downtown. Then again, maybe it'll attract others who don't normally venture out. Perhaps next Monday. I checked out their FB page and see they're doing a whole Monday Night Football deal. Yeah - let me see how these next couple days go and I can post it.
Wow. Forever since I've been to Chez Jay. I passed by there 2 nights ago. Met friends at the C. & O. Cucina on Washington, and I drove down PCH.
Maybe everyone just needs to suck it up and pay a few extra $$ for a regular night of Killer Shrimp - not the Monday deal. Maybe Tuesday. Still do it during Happy Hour, though I'm guessing we'd have a better showing if we started closer to 7:30 or so.
love this version - just watched that bit of Blues Brothers 2000 where they perform it -- but I think that Johnny Cash's version (when he teams up with Willie) is definitive!
