On one of my walks this evening, I saw a young gothlet on the suburban streets of my neighborhood, watching her in her Hot Topic pants and Hot Topic mesh shirt and t-shirt.

And I thought to myself, "I remember making mesh sleeves out of ripped fishnets, and tearing off the bottom of faded jeans just above my hole covered 14 eyelet docs. I remember shaving parts of my hair off and bleaching it and dying it purple."

I have friends who were gung ho to make a Goth In a Box, but now Hot Topic actually SELLS that (or sold it). Craziness.

Hey, have you heard of the Aggressive Music Fest? I don't know if it is a nationwide tour, but they are playing up here in July, I think. Slayer, Superjoint Ritual, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All and a whole bunch of other bands. It is going to be a 2 day fest. I think I may just have to go. I'll probably be the oldest person there but, what is to be done?
