Each day reality becomes more shadowed and new lights can be seen in the distance as her new journey begins. Her body is slowly taking control and releasing her from the mental issues that have blocked her from starting on her next journey.
The friends she made over the last few years are just amazing. They bring flowers and sit and talk to her every day. Their words are gentle and often joyful. Where I expected to see false hopes, I found honesty. Where I expected to find sadness, I found uplifting happiness and a celebration for the lives they each lived.
When my father passed about 15 years ago, I spent the last few weeks with him and a change went over me that I couldn't explain until now. I learned that life can be long when filled with regrets. My father's last lesson to me was very simple... Don't do anything you will regret later in life and do everything you can to make life exciting and fulfilling so that living is not something you will regret and be angry with.
