Something that I have DIY’d that I’m proud of are my dreads!
I’ve had synthetic dreads for almost 3 years now. I made these dreads a little over a year ago after and they’re still in good condition but I really do need to get on making a new set. I have the hair but not the time. It is a very time consuming process and even more so when you add kids, animals and work into the mix. I re-braid them once a month and I have a wonderful hubby that separates my hair for me and holds the dreads in place while I braid them. Braiding the whole set in takes about 2 hours.
I’ve had other sets of dreads that I have made and had a plan to go through a handful of color combinations but could not part with this combo. I blended the blue and green hair together multiple times for each colored dread and was stoked with the outcome. Each one had to be backcombed to perfection 👌🏻 I don’t really have any plans to change them any time soon, just make new ones. Maybe one day I’ll be ready for a change but I feel like this color jives perfectly with my personality!
