i think your opinion was being oppressed by him, but that might be the instigator in me talking... it's too bad he had to be a shit-disturber about it. it's great to get other opinions and have a good debate, it's just too bad that some people have to get aggressive and pushy about it.

People like that suck. Keep voicing your opinion, maybe one person didnt' agree ( or comprehend ) but alot came to your defense. Plus, I think he is opressed,
Keep voicing your opinion...ESPECIALLY when others virulently disagree! Debate and arguement are essential to one's development. If he is so narrow minded and obtuse and cannot accept your point of view then he has chosen to stagnate anf fester.
I have lived on a Reserve for the past 4 months and have found that there is a great deal of laughter and humour and good natured insults...but it is no different from any other culture in which I've lived...OK, not Japan.
I've also seen to catastrophic results of whitey on First Nations (i.e. organized religion, residential schools, Indian Agents).
I am just waiting one day for someone to stand up and put those "double standard" buggers in their place. Though, that will be a pretty rough battle. Sigh, the minoritys have it easier then the majority in almost aspects of society, even since racistism has become almost a thing of the past, a sad sad part of our current society.
Racism is bad, but why can the minority be racist against the majorrity and get away with it? .... I hate society, probably why I am so anti-social.
Which college if you don't mind my asking. I'm taking my course at the First Nations University...at least until mid May.
College is supposed to change your perspective...and teach you how to drink...
