It was great meeting you, too, Neon. I'm glad the slight awkwardness was due to your boss's "no talking to customers" rule and not because you thought I was a freak or something. Don't worry--I'll be very discreet if I see you in there again. Rules like that suck. (He's probably had some really bad slackers in the past. When I was in grad school in San Francisco I worked in a notorious bookstore and we were wild--but we still go the job done.) He also has you all asking people "Can I help you find something" as soon as a customer enters. My usual response to such queries is "Yeah, show me the good stuff, flapjack!" By the way, that Rick Alergott "Dufus Omnibus" is really great. Recommended by Dan Clowes and the Hernandez brothers, no less! Oh and thanks for vouching for me to Nicole.
