Another good tale.......Made even better because I know your stuff is true!! You make me wanna' leave Detroit, ( where the weak are killed and eaten - ) and move back to England for it's gloriously, dangerous night life!! Live and let live, Babe - C'est la vie!!
You are like Mr Escapades, you should have your own theme tune and a hat you can retrieve from dangerous situations at the last possible moment
I'm so jealous I was supposed to see Buck 65 in Edinburgh but I ran out of pennies Hope you had a good time !!!!!!
you should write a book seriously hehe i can just imagine you in a spandex super hero outfit Mr Escapades lmfao.
Garage is usually bad and violent ive had many people start on me or try to grope me at garage/hiphop nights but non ever at my lovely metal nights yay for all things metal and rock.
I think you should have realised it would be all bad when you first heard it was something to do with Dizzee Rascal hon! Garage just carries a name for attracting rudeboys. I should know, they used to invade our drum 'n bass nights in Reading on occassion when the club management were stupid enough to put both music types on in the same venue. Luckily wasn't there the night it all went bad and ended up with people being shot.
Not a nice scene.
Stick to going places where people actually look burly as oppose to overgrown kids in hoodies. Never the same kind of shit. I prefer those kind of places. Feel like I'm amongst my peeps! pmsl!
I don't mind Dizzee Rascal, but I can't stand rude boys; a 5-foot-nothing friend of mine got attacked by a couple of them at her own fucking house-party, which they'd gatecrashed! Never seen anything run as fast as those chicken-shits did when the police turned up.
Some bloke with a knife tried to rob my friend, Mike in a similar way to your experience once; Mike dropped his wallet on the floor, took one step back and told the thief to pick it up if he really wanted it. The thief looked uncertain for a minute then shouted at Mike to give it to him. Mike refused and repeated that it was there, on the floor if he wanted it. The thief eventually decided that it was all far too risky and left, minus Mike's wallet. He was lucky he did or he'd have received an expertly-delivered kick to the head: Mike's about to take his black-belt in Tae Kwon Do.
I'm glad those arseholes didn't manage to get your money, they were obviously hoping you'd give in to the intimidation and hand it over so the fact that you stood up for yourself probably worried them. Besides, the most dangerous people don't tend to make a big show of how dangerous they supposedly are: They don't need to.
Oiup deary. Sorry this is kind of late. I dont always act upon impulse when I get any form of message on any internet site, usually reply some time after, innit.
Hah, man... awesome story. I was going to go to that show had I not been working down the road. Ive seen dizzie twice and generally the rudeboys were outnumbered by students and just people who were kinda curious aka me. But really, ive only seen him at leeds and newcastle. Not in the heart of $hottingham. Hah. Cant believe he was only on for fuckin half hour...
Yeah I was at city on thurs it was diabolical. Left not long after you would of seen me. Everyone upstairs just wasn't into it, not one person. Don't blame them though with the mugly-music :p you enjoy?
oh my god!!!! cheeky f***ers. i used to live in sarf london and that sort of stuff was always happening, althoughi'd have been more scared if they had been rude girls!!!
This reminds me why I never step out of my comfort zone no matter how many assurances I get given that The Edge/The Bomb/Works/Oceana/Ocean etc etc will be good nights out. How's about fuck that right off.
Hey!
Hope ur having a good week... i've kicked my arse into gear and cheered up! altho that may have been because i jusy bought myself a new coat! Catch ya soon!
