Yeah i havnt bought much new vinyl myself lately as i live ina small inner city terrace space is limited so i have to be very choosy about what i get now..the last thing i bought was Eddy Current Suppression Ring's new album- Primary Colours
I didnt get up to much last weekend as i was on night shift but im making up for it this week,i'll be seeing The Hard Ons on Wednsday night,then Bastard Squad and The Homicieds on Friday night and finally on Sat.night Rosetta who do Neurosis style ambient metal..oh my poor tinnitus.
I got to agree with you about seeing small independant shows,i have been into punk for 20+ years and am amazed at some of the bands we get touring here now days..it just fantastic,i never thought id get to see bands like Fugazi,Drop Dead,Severed Head of State, The Varukers etc etc.in my life its also fantastic that we are now getting more and more bands from se asia coming thru.
Ha i had to giggle at the term bangover,i use to suffer that a lot many years ago..not so much now cause im sure my head would fall of..and that not a pretty site

wow under $60 in a whole weekend. you did good! i saw you a few fridays ago in the valley (atleast i think it was a friday) you were crossing the road with another guy. across the intersection from me, sadly i was running to catch a train and couldnt say hello. and my voice wouldnt go loud enough to yell over 12am valley noise!
i was bummed out, but i think im all better now, not sure if im going out this weekend, but i should be in the valley saturday day to see a few bands during that music day thing. so you live right in it now, i think id love it too. im only 3 stops away on the train, so its still pretty easy for me. not as easy as stepping out the front door though! and no cab/nightlink bus home. that would be bliss.
And you know what? I specifically took my glasses off to take that photo... I've got no non-spectacle-wearing pics of me in aaaaaages so i thought it was about time!
I am so excited to be visiting home! I shall regale tales of our Gallaga shenanigans to all the Perthites!
