In place where you live you need special permit before you get hire in tattoo store? Or you do certificate and courses just to improve your skills? I’m really curious about it. I live in Poland and actually everyone is able to open tattoo store if place meets medical standards and is sterile, they don’t check anything else.
@kahu you need a permit here, yeah. I started in the shop before I had my permit, but was just observing/learning/practicing on fake skin until I got my permit. It varies state by state in the US, but the area I'm in is particularly strict. You need first aid and blood borne pathogen certifications in addition to the permit, and need to renew all of them every 2 years. They'll do random inspections of different tattoo shops also.
@calx that's a gopher snake! They're very chill 🙂 and yeah baby avocado tree haha. Usually keep them in water for a bit until they're ready to put in soil!
