The worst thing is, there is at least one of him at every restaurant in the entire universe. There's no escaping him!
I think it's the bully mentality. Some guy becomes a key employee, or the bottom rung of the lower management, and instantly thinks he's King Shit on Turd Mountain. So he bosses certain people around and picks on them because he got picked on in high school.
