Hi there. I believe Elise is in the area, but that's about it for official SGs. In fact the midwest seems a bit thin on members as well. However, we did just have our first small (but fun!) SG-Chicago meet this weekend. So, I'm all for more SG presence in this town. Congradulations on getting accepted, BTW! I'm curious to see them, what with you being a photographer and all. Although there can be a charm to the lo-fi (so to speak) shoots, I'm a fan of the ones with more striking and thought-out photography. (Bug's set for example--the quality of the colors blow me away.)

Well, you seem to have a big camera there, so that's something. smile As for SG-Chicago, it's not like we have an office or anything... (There can be an SG-Anywhere if two SGs/members say there is one and get together. ) However, the Chicago people I've met on site (and last Friday at Club Foot) have been fun and interesting. One thing I like about this place is the high proportion of artists and creative types in the membership. So, I think we'll plan some more events. I'm always jealous when I see the pics from other SG get-togethers in SF, LA, PDX, etc.

It's nice to see such a nice photo backed up with a favorite band being Neutral Milk Hotel. Didja ever meet 2 kids from California named Ossian and Francois? I doubt it but they were in Chicago for a while and I felt the need to 'connect' or something... I really like yer pic, sorry about the crush...

You're totally right about all the beautiful girls livin far far away...
