I get off work to find an email on my phone from Amazon.com telling me that my Limited Edition of Fable III will be shipping tomorrow, which would be all well in good except my Fable III shipped Monday and I got it on Tuesday.
I check on my credit card and it shows another $79.99 charge today from Amazonsomething is fishy.
I call customer service and I get Abhinav Lal on the phone
When I explain my issue to Abhinav he tells me my order was placed about an hour before and will be shipped tomorrow. I explain I already ordered this, paid for it, and received it.three days ago.
So why did you order it again? is his next question. I explain to him that I didnt order it again, the order seems to be posting again for some reason. No, it was just placed new about an hour ago he tells me. Again I tell him this is impossible as I was at work. This is where the conversation goes from there
Abhinav: Do you have a smartphone?
Me: Yes, why?
Abhinav: Do you have the Amazon.com application installed on it?
Me: Yes, what does that have to do with anything?
Abhinav: Is it possible you placed the order on your phone?
Me: Ive been at work since 7AM mountain time and my phone has been in my pocket a majority of the day.
Abhinav: It it possible you placed the order in your pocket?
Me: Are you suggesting my phone unlocked itself, navigated to the application, found its way to my wish list, clicked order, entered my password, selected the proper credit card, chose the shipping option and destination, then clicked confirm?
Abhinav: Yes, is that possible?
Me: Really?
Abhinav: Yes.
Me: Can I speak to your supervisor?
Needless to say I got someone competent on the line, got the order cancelled, and not to mention got $20 in Amazon.com gift cards given to me and the Fable III Limited Edition Strategy Guide sent to me no charge for the inconvenience.
