One thing I love about this island: There is only one way to get most places so you can't really get lost.

One thing I hate about this island: There is only one way to get most places, so if there is an accident that blocks the road be ware of the wait.

Now the reason I mention this. Last night I was on the closing shift. 4 of the 6 of us live on the other side of the island. The ONE raod that goes from Lahaina, Ka'anapali, and Kapalua to the south sidewas closed a little before 7pm because of a 3 car accident. Apparently there was 1 fatality, which means the coroner has to be flown over from Oahu (nope no one on Maui) That also means instead of the road being closed for an hour or 2 it can be closed as long as 7 hours. The gallery closed at 10. Road still not open. Out for drinks at Bubba Gumps. At about 11:45 the road opens. Then as we are sitting in the traffic line to get home, 3 cop cars and an ambulance race by. Traffic doesn't move for 45 min. This time it was just a fender bender, and traffic moves at a crawl cause EVERYONE HAS to look. I didn't get home til after 1:45 (don't know the exact time cause I refused to look at a clock) We were all gonna get a room at one of the hotels, but decided that if the road opened before Midnight we would drive home. We SO should have gotten the room. I feel bad for the other 3 people that I was with cause thay all had to work at 9 this morning. I don't have to work til 4. But I did have to get up with the baby. I can't wait for naptime.
