As an artist with standards (wow does that sound unnessesarily pretentious) I'm often amused by the amount of absolute crap art that is floating around on the net. It's everywhere. I mean an inconceivably large amount of people out there believe their godawfully bad art is the greatest and most creative stuff to ever grace the internet....or so it would seem just listening to how defensive these artists can get about their works. Elfwood seems to house the motherload of said "crap art" and is only a breeding ground their ill-informed creators............so it's always fun to poke a little fun at them and the site every once in a while:

personally, I think it's the greatest concept ever........I just think it's sad that some people have to be such poor sports about it. Personally I'd love to have my works pimped out like this by better artists. I mean, there is so much you can learn from another point of view on a creative peice......even if it is partially poking fun. People just need to stop taking themselves so seriously.


On a completely different subject, I don't know how many of you out there are into anime, but I've recently come across a series I've never heard of before...........and I've wasted a good portion of the day watching the episodes on youtube. It's called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien......and it is the most depressing thing I've seen in a long time. Anyone else ever hear of it? Well, if not, I really do recommend it......if you don't mind feeling like your heart is being ripped out. What can I say? It has completely sucked me in.

......and while I'm on the subject of recommending things, I just have to mention the new official best movie evar (deemed by Muse Suicide): Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's simply BRILLIANT and had me in tears practically throughout the entire movie. Pick it up if you get a chance.
