Unexpected week off!
Not so great actually. We don't have any real work scheduled for next week, and since we already had next Thursday and Friday off, my boss asked me to use vacation days and take off the rest of the week. The time off is nice, but I am going to be laid off for the winter in a couple of weeks anyhow, and I normally don't use my vacation days and just get an extra week's pay when I get laid off.
It looks like I'm getting laid off by the second week of December and then it's back to collecting unemployment and pretending like I am going to get a job for the winter. I'd kind of like to find a job and move to the city but I have a feeling the job market is going to look like shit by the time I could start applying to any, not to mention that I haven't saved up nearly as much money I was expecting to so I am not liking the looks of that plan, but I'm not ruling it out yet.
