was camping all week last week. for the most part, we had a good time. camping w/family can be rough though. i caught the smallest fish. catch n release style of course. the wife won every game we played. she's damn good at board n card games. we went for her birthday, so i suppose it's fitting she won so often. the place was beautiful. we'd never been before. i think it's my new fav camping spot. it's called French Meadows Reservoir. tiny, but beautiful. the place was a ghost town for the weekdays, but on friday night, it was a hot spot. it was only 3 hours away too. good times.
i'm about to go to a rider safety class. i felt it was about time i got my class m. i got this 49 flat head about 2 years ago. we tried to get it running and did manage to start it, but it wasn't pulling any gas out of the tank. we were shooting ether directly into the carb to start it. then, if i let off the throttle, it puttered out and died. the cops were called because of the noise. that was awesome. anyway, i was able to obtain another carberator, but it doesn't mount correctly cuz it's newer. i need to get a mounting plate made for it. we know a guy who can do it, but my father hasn't been able to get ahold of him for a while. he said at one point that he would guarantee the bike to run for $200.00. i think he just wanted to get his hands on a 49. regardless, i can't ride the f'in thing if i don't have the license -hence the riding class. three, 5 hour days and the license is mine if i can pass their tests. i've rode before w/out a license, so i'm pretty sure i will pass. it's gunna be a rough weekend though. i have a show on sat night at 10 at a place an hour and a half away. i probably won't be home till about 3:30 in the am on sun. then i have to be at class at 6 am. more good times. it'll be worth it though.
