don't fret, they act tough but they're harmless really.
here, take my advice....
it was actually a hazing of you. we do it to everybody. it's so...elementary school but hey, we're very elementary school here .
the booting was a consequence of "starting a new guy thread gets your membership revoked". we have a thread specifically for introductions. part of the rules of the group. moreso, it was just an attempt to shake your shit a little, looks like it worked
i've known some of those people for almost 2 years now and i love those people to death, they're good folk. give em a chance and take your beating with a smile.
yes...it seems like the local folks like you much more if you go out and hang with them a few times. it also seems like the first time doing that may be a little scary for the same reasons introducing yourself online is.
and, i haven't even gone out to meet them yet, and ive been on here for months and months.
go out...meet em...it cant be thaaaat bad!
well i think there is a party next weekend, not sure, i will be gone. if you want however i would be glad to escort you toa get together, just to break the morning"ice
See, the thing is, when you're taking things so personally, you're likely to take things that are said to you in my group just as personally as being kicked out or not let in.
You need to lighten up. They call this the internet for a reason. It's not real life, and as such, that's as far as it goes. But on the other hand local groups often lead to real life meetings. So your behavior was sub-par. But I think you've probably taken it to heart enough.
I've still got your app waiting. I'm going to give it some more time.
