If the dog is small enough whcih your should be you can get those little carriers and take them as a carry-on. Just call the airline and verify the procedure.

you should be able to take the dog, just check with the airline you will be flying with as each has it's own crazy rules it seems. Big thing is have a current shot record for the little yapper.

I belive you can take a small dog as a carry on. His carrier needs to be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. Don't forget you'll also need a health certificate (I believe you still need one for carry on) for your pet in order to fly with it.
