haha, yeah i am on the depo shot, which makes me not ever get my period as one of its side effects (but i missed my last shot about 2 weeks ago and havent gotten a new one yet) so the great and awesome girly thing is back
Vegas was great, though I didn't do anything crazy. I walked way too much, only gambled a little (used a haldful of quarters, won a few hanfuls of quarters, and put a buck in a dollar slot and won 25 bucks.)
I hit a couple arcades (one of which had an amazing lounge area, and awesome food and drinks.) I played some carnival games, and drank at a merry-go-round bar.
I ate a lot of places, but didn't try anything too crazy. The craziest thing I had was bbq duck. I, of course, drank a good bit. You can actually buy drinks on the street corner at various booths or outdoor bars.
I checked out touristy stuff, like a gambling museum, a 2 story gift shop with various vegas, desert, area 51, hoover dam and grand canyon orineted gifts. Two car museums (one with more old or rare cars, the other with expensive cars and modified choppers and muscle cars.) Check out FAO Swartz, The Coke Store, The M&M store, The inside and outside of New York New York (probably my favorite casino, as far as the design goes.)
And the mall @ The alladin is pretty awesome. They have things like an art gallery with an artist whose work is inspired by drinking and gambling, an oxygen bar, and a shop/bar for the Sin City Brewery.
I watched a band play and then karaoke at Harrah's, and I watched the Volcano at the Mirage.
Downtown kind of sucked, other than the gambling museum, and being able to see some old signs. (Oh, and there is the glitter gulch, which is a strip club. But I didn't go.)
I want to go again. There are things I wanted to see but missed, and I found out about new stuff when I was there that I want to see next time. (And there are a few things i want to try again.)
oh looord! I miss the strip clubs although they usually got me into way too much trouble. I always ended up at some weird party after all drunk and never knowing where in the hell I was. But boobies...yeah!
Next time I visit out that way, or if you ever swing through philly, we can totally be each other's enablers
It's gotten so bad that to day I actually started writing a short story about a man who gets addicted to strip clubs
