I got fired once. I was all like, "You can't fire me!" But apparently they can. In Oklahoma you don't need a valid reason, an employer can fire you if he doesn't like the way you look. One of the many reasons I no longer live there.

If they didn't fire you "for a good reason" like you were written up a bunch of times for being late or something you should be able to get unemployment.

i'm sorry to hear about the job and know this sounds cliche, but something better is around the bend,

i was one of the first let go from my now 2 person department at alcoa after i gave them heart, soul and health and was totally devasted. i loved that god damn job. still do. i was close to taking a fucking bridge, but then, my present job came along.

the 4 months i was off work were worth waiting for my 'dream job' at a 'dream company'.

besides, you could use the time off. you're expecting.
