I was able to transition from CS work to that. It can be tedious, depending on what you're testing, but at least you don't have to deal with dipshits being.... well, dipshits.
We should swap places. I'm in Arizona. It happened to be cloudy and rainy today and I was thrilled to see it. "Holy crap, I can go outside without sunglasses!"
No suggestions on the job. Closest I've ever had to a job free of human contact is my current one - fraud investigation. Even there, though, I have to make quite a few phone calls and try to get people to talk to me on the phone. Though it is making me better at getting people to drop their guard and come clean.
Let's see. Computer data entry and file clerk come to mind right away. Those are two of the most dead-end and boring jobs I can think od with minimal human contact.
