how old is your boss? What exactly would make it a scandal? What are the circumstances in your job environment with her?

Need a little more info. It's OK, I live on the other side of the planet, there's very little at risk.

Ummm.... what is the worst case scenario? How would it affect your job? How small town is small town?

Erm... I took it cause there was a whole colony. I counted approximately fifty. (this was outside on a road sign) If there had only been one I probably would have left it.

Next time she's around, just take it out. I've found that to be a subtle but clear message that you'd like to get to know her better.

If the work thing would be cool, I would say go ahead. Life can get very uncomfortable if the relationship goes south and you're both working together. Especially with one of you reporting to the other.

On the other, I am also the type that would just go for it.

I collected two more spiders tonight. No clue what they are.... just that they're cool. One is miniscule and has a red abdomen, think it's a spiderling, we'll see. The other is pretty big, size of a kernel of corn and it has spikey protrusions on its abdomen, which is just cool....

Well...I say be on your best behaviour and sail on in to 'The Friend Zone'. And look elsewhere for intimate company.
