I just found out my friend's mother is having her leg amputated because of diabetes. She told me over the phone, and I had no idea what to say. Do you ever get that whole loss for words thing going on? She also found out that she has diabetes too. She's only 18. I can't begin to know how she feels knowing that she has to live with that possibly her entire life. It's sad. But I'll be there for her in any way I can.
