Thanks to everyone for the support.

My mom and dad are pretty shaken up, but they're doing ok. Seeing my mom was the closest of my uncle's siblings, her and my dad are taking care of everything. They don't know much about financial and legal stuff though, so I'm helping them wherever I can (putting that degree in business economics to good use). This weekend I'm gonna go through all the financial stuff to make a list of bank accounts, bills that need to be paid, insurance policies, etc, and next week I'm gonna look into the tax stuff (I have plenty of experience in that area, having worked at the Dutch IRS). Monday will be a busy day for all of us, with the funeral, a visit to the notary, getting stuff together for the insurance company and stuff, as well as taking care of his other siblings that will be in town for the funeral.
I'm just trying to be there for my parents as best I can. They saw my uncle every single day, they were pretty close.


Go give Saveme some love if you can. She had her back surgery yesterday, and is currently recovering. Hopefully now she won't be in pain every day anymore!
