bah. what a waste of a night. 12 damn tables and thank god they let me go early. everyone is broke from the holidays and January is going to be slow to the end.
Now last night(Tuesday)...that was incredible. Everyone was in a great mood and all the customers were fun as hell -didn't even feel like work! Helped me forget about everything else there going to shit right now. Shifts like that are exactly why I don't work at a desk. I got to answer "stranded on a desert island" questions, help debate whether scrabble is a sport, knock down some girl's annoying/insulting boyfriend, entertain cops, and watch some guy endure what appeared to be his worst date ever. I get paid for it too? ah...heaven.
