Thank you to everyone who has sent their support my way. This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done or experienced. Yes, its painful, yes, it hurts, yes, it is nothing compared to what he is going through.
The brighter side of all this: I am learning just how amazing a child's laugh can be. I have played on the swings, had leaf fights, and gone looking for the end of a rainbow after a storm. I am using parts of my imagination that haven't been touched in years and it is something I will never forget -never expected to find.
He has decided that he is ready to go -made peace with the world, so to speak. Every day is uncertain to an extent because every morning there is a strong chance he will not wake up.
life is experience and this is one hell of an experience.
