You see these people you're with in the club? Drinks in hand, dancing the night away, saying "where have you been all my life!?" These people you consider good friends simply because you spend every weekend at the same place partying. They're not real friends, you honestly have nothing in common. They won't be around in a few years, they won't be there when you need it, and soon enough they won't exist in your life. That's fine though. You'll meet some great people on your journey who'll show you what true friendship is. You'll be apart of a community and you'll be appreciated.
You know that boy you're dating, the one who appears to be kind and funny, he will only ever be a BOY, he isn't the one, he'll break your heart in two and make you feel like no one else will ever love you. He doesn't deserve your time and kind heart. The most valuable thing he will give you is a lesson. After him you will know and feel real love. You'll know what you deserve.
Don't be stupid with your money. New clothes, all those drinks and nights out won't comfort you in the years to come. Learn the importance of saving, have a goal like travelling, or learning to drive or that course you've always wanted to do. Put your money towards lifelong experience. You'll thank me later.
Persevere when things get hard. Life is hard. School and work can suck, so can people, but do not let it prevent you from continuing education or a job. You have the strength to pull through and you will gain so much more than you'll lose in the long run. Stop giving up when things get shitty.
Love hard and show it. Love your family, tell them you appreciate them, buy a gift, take photos, spend quality time and make an effort. Love your friends, communicate always, be there to listen, go out of your comfort zone for good people, be the kind of friend you want to have. Love yourself. This is a lesson you will ALWAYS be learning, it never stops, nor do the changes in your body and mind. You are a good person, you are intelligent and you are beautiful. Wake up and think about one thing you appreciate about yourself everyday.
