I don't think I need to say that I'm beyond relieved with the result of the election.
except prop 8.... for some reason, the part of Oakland directly in front of my house was the crazy hot bed of 'yes on 8' people, and I wanted to run them over. They even attacked some people. What really gets me is the funding coming from out of state LDS members. I'm normally a real supporter of the LDS, I think they really practice what they preach, offer amazing services for their members, are a true support group for people who need it..... AND normally they keep their noses out of the government. But it really disappoints me that a group that was recently prosecuted for "different" marital practices by the Christian community would join up and treat another group the same way.
Honestly, I feel like they are justifying their past experiences being murdered and driven out by Christians.

I'll say. 52% votes for prop 8?? Are you fucking kidding me?? I'm so disappointed with that percentage of California. Someone tried to reason with me that the same voters that voted for Obama were the ones who were against gay marriage... wtf?

Agreed, my ex was raised LDS, although she didn't practice. I have to say they do have good family values and I did learn a lot from her family.
