Once, when I was much much younger , I was sitting on the steps of our front porch and I watched the sun slowly crawl along the pavement. And I remember i wanted to catch that sunlight somehow... just a little I could put in my pocket and look at when things weren't going the way they should....
anyway... your words made me think of that moment.
