shema:
Um..what exactly have we done? I never watch those shows so please fill me in.
kelpie_:
I have been terrified to watch Food Inc. even though I'm already kind of transitioning toward vegetarian or pescatarian ... people tell me I'll never eat meat or processed stuff again. Scared of the truth, I guess... What is Earthlings about?
sykosis:
I think the bottom needs to fall out to wake us up as a whole. We have too many blinders on.
conqueringking:
I kinda wish something would happen in 2012 to force a reset of society, because we have pretty much screwed up this time round. I haven't seen Earthlings yet, but I think I have a general idea of what its talking about from some of the other things I've seen.

I've pretty much decided not to watch Food inc. again until, I'm at a point in my life were I can grow my own food. I had the same cycle of feelings you did when I watched it.
roadieshow:
The food problem reaches so far into our culture, it's not even remotely funny. The preservatives are proven to destroy our bodies but that's just a means for the Pharma companies to clean up. 10 year old girls are walking around malls with D-cups and J-Lo ass thanks to the hormones in milk and meat.

I've been buying farm fresh organic chickens lately. They taste SO MUCH better. They also seem to be a completely difference species of bird. Your average Purdue chicken is at least 50% bigger all around, has unbelievably over-sized breasts and don't have the protective 'thorn' on each wing. Real chickens have that little "thorn" to help defend themselves. Modern chickens have been altered so they can't damage themselves with defenses.
michaelangela:
and one of the saddest aspects of it all is that it all comes back to money. corners were cut, "solutions" implemented to create a more efficient system and higher product yeild from less resources, and all the consequences that followed have been overlooked or given another quick fix, with which only more consequences follow. profit was put first and its been quick sand since.
videre:
That is untethered capitalism at it's best.

ziacide:
have watched a few eye openers myself lately and it is definitely a shame that so many of us are uninformed and therefore doom ourselves. its some deep thoughts. hope you can still enjoy the small things gorgeous!! <3
rachelle:
Vegetable based diets are the way to go. I haven't ate meat for over 6 years, best thing I ever did for my body. <3
pesky:
I must see this Food Inc. But I don't think I'll stop eating meat. I've already been trying to get organic meat and local produce. it just makes you feel so much better. overly-processed foods stuff you and make you feel so..icky. its literally like you're full of shit or something. its crazy.
x0!
eddiemaine:
First time I watched it I bawled my eyes out to...multiple times, all those beautiful earthlings : (
ggdeckard:
I get that feeling of anger when I try and watch Jesus Camp. The furthest into it I've gotten without turning it off in disgust is half an hour.
